Erasers are called rubbers in the UK. I wasn't upset because the picture had faded off my condom.

I think I was five or six when this happened. I had this weird thing as a child where... For some reason, I used to believe that pictures were alive and had feelings etc. So if one got destroyed I was very very upset. This led to a couple of bizarre little situations that I could have chosen from, but... I chose to go with when I realized that Slinky Dog had faded off my Toy Story rubber in class.

I'll say it again. I was an odd child.

She could've tried to tell you why it wasn't a big deal, instead of just shrugging it off. That aside, I still get sad when the pictures fade off my erasers.

Poor Slinky... :(

I used to think my toys were alive and I hated leaving them for school. So I gave them an "evil" babysitter--actually she was a doll from my grandmother that I hate I think and I called her evil cuz she looked like it. She reminded me of Vicky from Fairly Odd Parents...

I told myself that no matter how minor something seem to me, I should always take a child seriously. What may be minor to us may be very importation to a child. I also told myself that I would never use the "no back-talking" get-out-of-jail free card. That is just complete bullshit when someone can not defend themselves and just a lazy excuse to have you not sit down and listen.

Only horrible parents would ever use such a lazy tactic to "win" against a child.

I never had that problem, since I refused to use erasers with my favorite picture on them :D

@Dante: The don't have feelings of their own, they have the feelings of the creator.
